Michael Hickle serves as Vice President of U.S. Field Operations for Sill Adjusting Group and is an integral member of the company’s senior management team.
With decades of experience in the property insurance and public adjusting industries, Mike brings extensive expertise in large and complex property claims, catastrophe response, operational management, and team leadership. Prior to joining Sill Adjusting Group in 2006 as a licensed public adjuster, Mike built an extensive career with State Farm Insurance Companies, where he served as a Large Loss Specialist for ten years.
During his tenure with State Farm, Mike managed hurricane adjusting activities for major catastrophic events, including Hurricanes Jeanne and Katrina. This experience provided him with an in-depth understanding of complex property losses, catastrophe operations, claim investigation, estimating, and the insurance claims process from the carrier perspective.
Since joining Sill, Mike has handled numerous major and complex property claims throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
His experience encompasses a wide variety of commercial and residential losses, including large-loss and catastrophic claims requiring the coordination of multiple disciplines and specialized professionals. Mike’s leadership and extensive claims experience have led to progressively greater responsibilities within Sill.
Today, as Vice President of U.S. Operations, he oversees Sill’s U.S. adjusting operations and the coordination of services across the company’s adjusting, building estimating, contents, and forensic accounting teams. He plays a key role in ensuring major losses are properly staffed and that Sill’s professionals work collaboratively to provide comprehensive claim preparation and representation.
As an integral member of Sill’s senior management team, Mike contributes to the company’s strategic direction, operational planning, organizational development, and continued growth. His responsibilities include operational oversight, personnel and resource management, workflow development, quality control, strategic partnerships, and coordination between sales and operations.
Mike is a graduate of Ohio Dominican University. His combination of education, carrier-side large-loss experience, catastrophe management, public adjusting expertise, and executive leadership provides him with a unique perspective on the complexities involved in successfully managing major property insurance claims.
Mike’s leadership approach emphasizes teamwork, communication, accountability, and exceptional client service, while ensuring Sill’s professionals have the resources and support necessary to effectively advocate for policyholders throughout the insurance claim process
